Our vision and mission
We genuinely see ourselves providing value, causing an impact and disrupting the industry. That is our VISION.
What we noticed is that most black owned logistics companies focus on growing their fleet and cash flow. But have you seen the condition of their trucks? Take a look for yourself. Value is not just provided to the companies you deal with, but to the community and to our environment. We pride ourselves in roadworthy trucks and we deliberately keep a small fleet so that it is easier to manage. A roadworthy truck equals higher driver attention. We also trying to keep our trucks off the road by using railway transportation to reduce our carbon footprint. We want to grow with the industry to be a better option for the environment and businesses.
For us to see what our MISSION was, we first had to sit back, asses exactly why we even started.
There is a significant amount and number of Logistics companies out there we know. We started our own because we had been living, breathing, sleeping and eating transport in our family. And we also wanted to flex our creative muscles by going into an industry where your size is not capped by what size a company we're partnering with but by our value. We say value because we not interested in the biggest fleet, but we're interested in a fleet that can provide the biggest value. How, you ask? By making it our sole mission to give you dedicated horse(s) to strictly focus on your business'needs. That way we are big enough to do the job, and small enough to be responsive.
A look into our background and our situation now
Mr Rhodion Kharivhe was born in July 20, 1967 in Venda, khalavha, a small rural area north of Limpopo. He moved with his family to Gauteng when he was really young. His life began when he matriculated. He started by selling anything he could get his hands on and got employed a few years later where he worked for more than 25 years at the same company. He started his business while working that job and grew it from one vehicle to a fleet of buses and taxis. He passed away in 2018 and that was when his two sons inherited the company. Together they were able to grow the company to now three new companies under the main inherited one. In 2022, the company decided to rebrand and change the name to NYTRAS GROUP.

This is essentially the letters of the names of the father, mother and the brothers meshed in one.
Currently the company has a total of 3 businesses under it's belt. We do shuttles, logistics and bulk fuel.
Fleet
Our vehicles are purposely selected and equipped to ensure the careful handling of our clients’ cargoes.
The NYTRAS fleet includes super links, taut liners, side-tippers and tri-axle trucks, all of which are equipped with tarpaulins, straps and corner plates. We have excellent preventative maintenance strategies in order to be proactive on maintenance on our equipment.
Vehicles
Vehicles are serviced within their scheduled service kilometers incorporated into log book system loading schedule program.
An automated alert will pop-up on screen, every morning by logging into the system program. Every vehicle is scheduled for a service 20 000 km from the previous scheduled service on the Freightliners.
Trailers
Trailers are serviced 3 times a year (every 4 months) even before the actual service is due.
All trailers are also being serviced as per AFRIT and GRW specifications by an accredited Trailer Service and Manufacturer. After each trailer Service the wheel alignment will be arranged by the operations manager and re-scheduled for the next service period.
Tyres
When choosing a truck tyre, the casing is a major deciding factor, and this is why NYTRAS run their whole fleet exclusively on Michelin Tyres.
These tyres provide: safety, mileage, life span, robustness, retreadability and CPK optimization, all of which depend on the quality of the casing. To complete the 4 life package, Michelin manufactures a range of retread patterns under the Brand name RECAMIC.
